Your Istanbul journey: day by day
International patients ask two things: how long do I need to be there, and what does each day look like. Here is the honest itinerary — 5–7 nights, with the reasons behind each day.
- Before you fly: photo assessment, free video consultation, written all-inclusive quote, nicotine-free 4+ weeks.
- Day 1: arrival, private transfer, in-person consultation, sizers, marking and pre-op tests.
- Day 2: surgery (1.5–2 hours); home to the suite the same evening or after one hospital night.
- Days 3–5: recovery suite, daily clinic checks, band and bra fitting, arms below shoulder height.
- Day 5–7: final check, fit-to-fly clearance, flight home; remote follow-ups continue.
Before you travel
Send photos (front, both sides, both obliques, arms down) with your height, weight, bra size and two reference photos of the look you want. Dr. Erdal reviews them personally and schedules a free video consultation within 24 hours; you receive a plain recommendation — route, plane, implant type and the cc corridor — and a written all-inclusive quote naming the implant brand. Nicotine stops at least 4 weeks before; blood-thinning supplements two weeks before.
Day 1 — arrival, sizers, marking
Private transfer from Istanbul Airport. In-person consultation: measurements, sizers in a sports bra with your own tops, the decision made in the mirror, and marking of the fold line and armpit crease with you standing. Anaesthesiology consultation and tests at the accredited hospital.
Day 2 — surgery
Endoscopic transaxillary augmentation under general anaesthesia, 1.5–2 hours. You wake in the surgical bra and band, walk the same evening, and go to your suite the same day or after one hospital night.
Days 3–5 — recovery at Antwell Suites
A recovery-friendly 1+1 suite minutes from the clinic. Daily checks: wound review, band adjustment, implant position. Short walks, front-opening tops, no reaching or lifting; hair-washing with help. A companion makes the days easier and stays at no extra charge.
Luggage rule: nothing lifted above 2–3 kg and no arms overhead for 10–14 days. Wheeled case, airport assistance, and someone else lifts the carry-on.
Day 5–7 — fit to fly
Final check and clearance; compression stockings, hydration and aisle walks on the flight. Written aftercare, the scar protocol and the follow-up schedule go home with you.
After you return
Photo and video follow-ups with Dr. Erdal through the first year, WhatsApp for any wound question, and your own GP for routine checks. The recovery timeline covers each stage.
